Q: Why secondary vulcanization after liquid silicone molding?

Secondary vulcanization is a common post-treatment process after liquid silicone molding. Its main functions are: first, to complete the vulcanization reaction, allowing the silicone to reach optimal physical properties; second, to remove small molecular compounds generated during vulcanization, reducing product odor; third, to eliminate internal stress and improve dimensional stability. Not all products require secondary vulcanization. For products with low requirements and non-critical dimensional tolerances, secondary vulcanization can be omitted.
