LED Phototherapy Mask (Most Common and Mainstream):

Red light (630-660nm): most commonly used. Claiming to stimulate the production of collagen and elastin, reduce fine lines and wrinkles, improve skin elasticity, resist aging, promote wound healing, and reduce inflammation.
Blue light (around 415nm): mainly targeting acne (pimples). Claiming to be able to kill Propionibacterium acnes, which causes acne, reduce oil secretion, and reduce inflammation.
Yellow light (around 590nm): claims to improve microcirculation, brighten skin tone, improve erythema and redness, reduce inflammation, and promote lymphatic circulation.
Near infrared light (800-900nm): penetrates deeper and claims to promote deep tissue repair, reduce inflammation, relieve pain, and enhance the effectiveness of red light.
Principle: It emits non thermal visible light of specific wavelengths (red, blue, yellow, near-infrared, etc.), which is absorbed by skin cells (mitochondria), stimulates cell activity, and promotes metabolism.
Claimed effect (depending on light wavelength):
Characteristics: It is usually painless and non-invasive, relatively safe to use (eye protection should be taken into account), and requires continuous and regular use to see results (generally recommended 3-5 times a week, 10-20 minutes each time). The individual differences in effectiveness are significant.
Hot compress/steam mask:
Principle: Generate a warm sensation or steam through heating.
Claimed effect: Promotes facial blood circulation, helps open pores, promotes absorption of subsequent skincare products, and relaxes facial muscles. It is often used when applying facial mask.
Features: Comfortable and relaxing user experience, with immediate effects (relaxation, promoting absorption) as the main focus, and limited long-term anti-aging effects.
Microcurrent mask:
Principle: Use low-intensity microcurrents to stimulate facial muscles and subcutaneous tissue.
Claimed effect: Instantly lift and tighten the skin (similar to the instant effect of "electric wave skin tightening"), improve edema, promote blood circulation, and stimulate collagen production (requires long-term use).
Characteristics: There is a slight electric flu (similar to ant crawling or needle pricking sensation) during use, and the immediate improvement effect is more obvious, but the effect is not long-lasting and needs to be maintained through consistent use. Not suitable for installing pacemakers, metal implants, and pregnant women.
RF face mask:
Principle: Utilizing radio frequency energy to generate thermal energy, which acts on the dermis layer of the skin.
Claimed effect: Heating the dermis layer, stimulating collagen contraction and regeneration, thereby firming the skin, improving wrinkles and sagging.
Characteristics: The effect is usually deeper than LED and microcurrent, but it also requires professional operation and higher safety considerations. Household RF face masks have low energy, and their effectiveness and safety need to be carefully evaluated. There is a noticeable warmth when used.
