Why does liquid silicone forming create bubbles?

Author: Published:2026-06-25 Clicks:

Bubbles in liquid silicone molded products are a common production issue. The main causes include:

1. Insufficient De-airing of Raw Materials

Air is mixed in during the mixing of liquid silicone A and B components. Without thorough vacuum de-airing, these bubbles remain in the product.

2. Poor Mold Venting

During injection, air in the mold cavity cannot escape in time and becomes trapped in the silicone, forming bubbles. This is especially common at the last-filled areas of the product if no venting grooves are provided.

3. Improper Injection Parameters

Injection speed that is too fast or injection pressure that is too high can cause air entrapment. Proper parameter adjustment is key to solving bubble issues.
